Eagle Creek Reservoir Walleye

Captain Bradford "Mad Dog" McClatchie and I took a shot at Eagle Creek this morning.

We were hoping for walleye but did not find any.

We pretty much caught fish in the first 5 minutes and non stop until the last 5 minutes of the trip.

Small white bass and crappie were plentiful but the quality evaded us.

Also caught one small channel cat and two tiny largemouth.

This was our first trip and we decided to wing it.

We trolled around the entire edge of the area where the bait shop is located.

I mean a slow crawl all the way around past the dam and past Rick's.

We covered depths from 12 to 33 feet around the perimeter.

We were using slip sinkers with minnows and night crawlers working the bottom.

Again, very effective for small white bass and crappie, but for walleye, not so much.

Couple of notes, the bait shop opens at 8.00 am and you need two bucks worth of quarters to get through the gate to launch your boat.

 Good luck!

Walleye Fishing, White Bass Fishing Brookville Reservoir

Great guided trip with Tag Nobbe, local Brookville Reservoir Fishing Guide!

We had a great day of White Bass and Walleye fishing last Saturday.

This was my first trip with Tag and we were extremely impressed.

Myself, Mike "Hoot" Haragan and Stan Phariss headed out at 6.00 am and hammered several white bass busting on the top. Very exciting.

Then it was off to conquer the walleye.

Tag has an awesome 21' Lund with killer electronics to complement his 20 plus years of fishing Brookville Lake.

You can easily fish four and the guide and long with the fishing fun, Tag is very entertaining and knowledgeable of the marine and wildlife.

We saw a young eagle in flight just above the boat and an Ausprey diving for dinner.

Unforgettable trip.

Tag had a number of great spots and some techniques I have never seen work before on Walleye.

Would recommend taking a trip with Tag Nobbe, of Brookville Guide Services ASAP!
